Sahmyook University College of Nursing Holds 49th Nightingale Pledge Ceremony
87 Myeong Preparing for Clinical Practice
On the 25th, the College of Nursing at Sahmyook University held the '49th Nightingale Pledge Ceremony' at the university chapel.
The Nightingale Pledge Ceremony is held annually to honor the noble spirit of sacrifice of Nightingale and to reaffirm the commitment to service and dedication as nurses before students who have completed their second year in the nursing program begin their clinical practice.
At this year's ceremony, 87 students preparing for clinical practice renewed their commitment as nurses through the Nightingale Pledge and the dedication song. The faculty advisors presented pins symbolizing the qualification for field nursing learning to them.
Since welcoming its first nursing students in 1974, the College of Nursing at Sahmyook University has produced over 2,500 nursing professionals.
