'Suneung D-50' Chuseok Holiday Strategy? ... "Check EBS Linkage Method"
Compare and Analyze 'EBS-Linked Textbooks'
Analyze Linkage Methods by Subject for Preparation
Maintain Study Rhythm in 'Suneung Mode'
The day before the Chuseok holiday, the 27th, marks 50 days before the College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT). The six-day long holiday is the last chance for test-takers to aim for a score increase. Admissions experts advised that during this holiday period, students should analyze EBS-linked textbooks and address their weaknesses.
The admissions industry presented a 50-day CSAT strategy for students taking this year’s exam. Kim Byung-jin, director of the Etoos Education Evaluation Research Institute, said, "This year’s CSAT has increased the importance of EBS-linked textbooks due to changes in the test’s question-setting policy," adding, "As indicated by the term ‘perceived linkage rate,’ this CSAT will increase the correlation with EBS-linked textbooks, so students need to study by specifically analyzing the passages, answer choices, and question structures." He especially emphasized, "It is necessary to review the linkage method by comparing the June and September mock exam questions with the EBS-linked textbooks."

In particular, since the exam was analyzed to have used EBS textbooks to create complex passage interpretations and answer choices, the admissions industry commonly viewed mastering the mock exam question types as important. Nam Yoon-gon, director of the Megastudy Education Admissions Strategy Research Institute, emphasized, "It is necessary to find the flow of question-setting through intensive analysis of the September mock exam and connect it to self-review and final content organization," adding, "Through final review, it is possible to raise scores by more than 10 points."
Advice was also given to prepare by reflecting the question trends of the September mock exam for each subject. Woo Yeon-cheol, director of the Jinhaksa Admissions Strategy Research Institute, said, "For the Korean section, it is advisable to consistently understand 2 to 3 passages daily using EBS-linked textbooks as the basis, along with past CSAT questions and mock exams, and practice problem-solving." Regarding the Math section, he added, "From the September mock exam, questions were set across the entire syllabus," and "It is most important to practice frequently appearing question types by unit." For the English section, he said students should study listening, vocabulary, and reading comprehension evenly every day, and for the inquiry subjects, students should thoroughly organize subject concepts and then practice problem-solving under actual test time conditions.

Experts commonly stated that from now on, students must enter ‘full CSAT mode.’ Director Kim said, "Students should finalize the concepts they lacked, study and live regularly according to their schedule, and maintain their own learning rhythm," advising, "During the Chuseok holiday, do not set overly strict or unreasonable plans, but consider your learning level and available time." Director Nam also said, "It is necessary to do rehearsal practice matching the actual CSAT exam time."
