With this latest win, the total number of major lottery prizes he has received since 1997 has increased to 18.
The Idaho Lottery shared the news of Bevan's win on its official social media channels, saying, "Can lightning strike 18 times? For Idaho Lottery player Robert Bevan, it just might." The lottery officials discovered Bevan's previous winnings while reviewing internal records.
Bevan's first win dates back to 1997. At that time, he was one of the winners of the 'Blazer Bucks' event, in which the Idaho Lottery offered seven 1997 Chevrolet 4-door Blazers as prizes across the state. Since then, he is known to have received various prizes, ranging from $1,000 to $200,000, including the car.
Bevan said that buying lottery tickets with his wife has become "a part of life" over the years, describing it as a fun daily hobby that the couple enjoys together.
However, he does not attribute all of his luck to the lottery. When asked by a lottery official about the secret to his fortune, Bevan replied, "My real luck is having met a wonderful wife and spending 40 years together."
