Jeonnam Southwestern Regional Council Chairpersons' Association Holds Meeting in Muan
"Let's Unite Our Efforts for the Successful Hosting of the National Sports Festival in Mokpo"
The Council Chairpersons' Association of the Southwestern Region of Jeollanam-do held a meeting on the 26th in Muan, Jeollanam-do, to discuss ways to promote mutual regional development.
At the meeting, Kim Seok-sun, chairman of Haenam County Council and president of the association, along with chairpersons from eight cities and counties (Mokpo, Gangjin, Haenam, Yeongam, Wando, Jindo, Muan, and Sinan) attended. They shared explanations of local issues and best practices in council operations, agreeing to work together for the development of the southwestern region of Jeollanam-do.

In particular, they decided to pool their efforts to ensure the successful hosting of the National Sports Festival to be held in Mokpo in October.
Kim Kyung-hyun, chairman of Muan County Council, said in his welcoming address, “As has been the case so far, I expect that the Council Chairpersons' Association of the Southwestern Region of Jeollanam-do will continue to fulfill its role in enriching the lives of residents by sharing current issues and uniting their efforts under a close cooperative system.”
Meanwhile, the Council Chairpersons' Association of the Southwestern Region of Jeollanam-do is composed of chairpersons of city and county councils located in the southwestern part of Jeollanam-do. It regularly holds meetings to jointly respond to local issues and discuss regional development plans.
