Indian iPhone Assembly Plant Temporarily Halted Due to Fire
Fire at Pegatron Factory... No Casualties or Property Damage
A fire broke out at the Indian factory of Pegatron, a Taiwanese Apple supplier, causing a temporary halt in operations.
On the 25th (local time), Reuters reported that a fire occurred the previous day at Pegatron's iPhone assembly plant near Chennai in southern India, leading to the cancellation of two shifts on the 25th. The fire at the factory reportedly lasted for five hours.
Pegatron stated that there was a spark incident inside the factory, which is now under control. They also explained that there were no casualties or property damage from the fire.
