LS Cable & LS Marine Solution Selected as Preferred Negotiation Partners for 'Anma Offshore Wind' Subsea Cable
532MW Class Near Anmado, Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do... Scheduled to Handle Korea's Largest Scale
Cable Manufacturing and Construction
LS Cable & System and LS Marine Solution announced on the 25th that they have been selected as the preferred bidders for the subsea cable project of the Anma Offshore Wind Power Project in Jeollanam-do.
LS Cable & System and LS Marine Solution will be responsible for cable manufacturing and construction, respectively, with the supply scale expected to be in the range of several hundred billion won.
The Anma Offshore Wind Power Complex will be constructed near Anmado, Yeonggwang-gun, with a capacity of 532MW by 2027. It is the largest offshore wind power project currently underway in South Korea.

The two companies will participate in supplying large-capacity subsea cables for the external network connecting the wind power complex and the land. Only a few companies in Europe and Japan can supply large-capacity subsea cables, and LS Cable & System is the only one in South Korea.
If the main contract is signed within this year, it will be the first large-scale order jointly undertaken by LS Cable & System and LS Marine Solution. For LS Marine Solution, it is the largest single project since the Jeju 2 Link subsea cable project in 2011.
