Korean women's table tennis secured a bronze medal by advancing to the semifinals of the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games team event.
The Korean women's table tennis team defeated Hong Kong 3-1 in the quarterfinals of the women's team event held on the 24th at the Gongshu Canal Sports Park Gymnasium in Hangzhou, China, advancing to the semifinals.
In Asian Games table tennis, both teams that lose in the semifinals are awarded bronze medals without a third-place playoff.
The Korean women's table tennis team has reached the Asian Games team event semifinals for the second consecutive time following the 2018 Jakarta-Palembang Games, where they also won a bronze medal.
