Lotte Homeshopping Shares 'Hope Baskets' with Underprivileged Groups for Chuseok
Held over two days on the 20th and 21st
Support of 100,000 won per household for grocery expenses
Lotte Homeshopping announced on the 22nd that it held the 'Hope Shopping Basket' event to support the purchase of daily necessities for underprivileged groups in the region in celebration of Chuseok.
The event took place over two days, on the 20th and 21st, at Lotte Mart Yangpyeong Branch, attended by 100 underprivileged households in Yeongdeungpo-gu, 100 volunteers from Lotte Homeshopping's 'Sharodde Volunteer Group,' and officials from the Yeongdeungpo-gu Social Welfare Council. Each underprivileged household received 100,000 KRW for the Hope Shopping Basket, and volunteers were matched one-on-one to directly assist with purchasing Chuseok foods such as galbitang, yakgwa, innerwear, and daily necessities.

This event was conducted as part of 'Hope Suragan,' a social contribution activity in the Yeongdeungpo area. Hope Suragan is Lotte Homeshopping's representative social contribution program that has regularly delivered side dishes to underprivileged groups in Yeongdeungpo since 2015. Every year during Seollal and Chuseok, it delivers holiday foods; in summer, samgyetang; and in winter, kimchi for kimjang, having supported a total of 362 sessions and over 60,000 side dishes to date.

Ahead of Chuseok, we held this shopping event to provide practical help to neighbors in need, and we plan to continue various sharing activities to support the local community in the future."
