According to Yonhap News and the Embassy of Mexico on the 19th (local time), a series of incidents involving the theft of belongings or valuables from Korean travelers in Mexico City have recently taken place.
All the victims reported that after drinking beverages or alcoholic drinks offered by someone, they lost consciousness and became victims of robbery or theft.
In another case, a group of people deliberately stained the victims' clothes with foreign substances, approached them saying "We will help you," and then fled with their wallets and other items.
The Mexican Embassy emphasized, "Be cautious of excessive kindness from strangers," and advised, "It is best to refuse drinks or candies casually offered by someone."

Additionally, the embassy urged travelers to be especially careful about personal safety to avoid exposure to crime, as events attracting large crowds, such as the Mexican traditional holiday 'D?a de los Muertos' parade, will continue.
