Bukhansan Scenery 'Eunpyeong Hanok Village Hanok (廈綠) Festival'
Seoul Eunpyeong-gu (District Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) announced on the 19th that it will hold the "Eunpyeong Hanok Village Hanok (廈綠) Festival" on the 22nd from 3 PM at the outdoor Eunpyeong Yard on the 2nd floor of the Eunpyeong History Hanok Museum.
The "Eunpyeong Hanok Village Hanok Festival" will be held in conjunction with community resident performances and recital programs by participants of the Eoulrimter at Eunpyeong Hanok Village, as well as fusion gugak (traditional Korean music) performances. Eunpyeong Hanok Village is a representative attraction of Eunpyeong-gu, where the beautiful natural environment of Bukhansan Mountain harmonizes with modern-style hanok houses.
The Eunpyeong History Hanok Museum, located here, opened in October 2014 and has served as a cultural hub of Eunpyeong Hanok Village and a pillar of the cultural city of Eunpyeong through various planned exhibitions and educational experience programs.
In celebration of the Hanok Festival, the Eunpyeong History Hanok Museum will have extended night hours until 9 PM on the 22nd and 23rd. The last admission is at 8 PM. A special exhibition and lecture on the "Gasin (家神)," the household gods who protect the home in folk beliefs, will also be held in honor of the traditional Chuseok holiday.
