It can diagnose dengue within 20 minutes through blood specimens and can detect all four dengue virus serotypes. The company explained that clinical specimen tests secured internally confirmed higher sensitivity and accuracy compared to other companies.
Dengue fever is a representative viral febrile illness transmitted by the Aedes aegypti mosquito, mainly in tropical and subtropical regions, similar to the Zika virus. It requires differential diagnosis as its symptoms are similar to other mosquito-borne diseases such as chikungunya. Recently, with global warming and accelerated climate change, the risk of mosquito-borne disease transmission has increased internationally, raising the importance of quarantine and diagnosis.
