Hanwha Corporation Construction Division Holds Meeting with Excellent Partners for Mutual Growth
Hanwha Corporation Construction Division held the ‘2023 Excellent Partner Companies Meeting for Mutual Growth’ on the 12th at The Plaza Hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul. The event was attended by about 70 people, including Kim Seung-mo, CEO of Hanwha Corporation Construction Division, executives, and representatives from 43 excellent partner companies.
This meeting was organized to encourage partner companies that have made efforts in areas such as technological innovation, quality improvement, and safety management over the past year and to reaffirm the commitment to mutual growth. Hanwha Corporation Construction Division has been holding the Excellent Partner Companies Meeting since 2002 based on the group’s management philosophy of “Together, Far,” marking its 20th anniversary this year.
At this event, Hanwha Corporation Construction Division selected 43 partner companies with outstanding capabilities in various fields such as civil engineering, architecture, plant, machinery, and electrical, and held the 2023 Excellent Partner Companies Awards Ceremony. Awards were presented directly to a total of six top partner companies and 37 excellent partner companies in the fields of civil engineering, architecture, mechanical and electrical, procurement, and safety and environment. The awarded partner companies will receive benefits such as operating fund loans, expanded bidding opportunities, and exemption from performance bonds.
Kim Seung-mo, CEO of Hanwha Corporation Construction Division, stated, “Mutual growth with partner companies is essential to ‘go together, far.’ I am grateful to the partner companies who have worked hard together, and we will continue to strengthen efforts for mutual growth.”
Hong Kyung-sik, CEO of Seogwanggang Construction Co., Ltd., selected as a top partner company, said, “There is high satisfaction among partner companies regarding support for ESG management-related consulting and various financial support systems, including the mutual growth fund. Although these are challenging times due to high interest rates and economic slowdown, I hope we continue to maintain a strong partnership based on mutual cooperation and trust.”
Hanwha Corporation Construction Division has set ‘establishing a fair trade culture,’ ‘strengthening communication with partner companies,’ and ‘enhancing partner companies’ capabilities’ as the main directions of its mutual growth policy and has operated various cooperation programs. First, it has signed fair trade agreements with partner companies and strictly complies with them. It introduced the four major practices of the Fair Trade Commission in 2007 and incorporated them into company regulations to establish a fair trade culture. Through intensive ethics education for employees and strict systems, it is achieving compliance management and ethical management at a global standard level.
In addition, to strengthen communication with partner companies, it continuously holds excellent partner companies meetings and enhances skinship by addressing the difficulties of partner company practitioners through on-site meetings and meetings by work type. Various cultural events are also held together, such as cheering for the Hanwha Eagles games where Hanwha Corporation Construction Division employees and partner company employees mingle, and supporting attendance at the Hanwha Symphony Festival.
Above all, Hanwha Corporation Construction Division operates various financial support systems to enhance the capabilities of partner companies. Representative examples include direct loans for mutual growth funds, establishment of mutual growth funds, credit guarantee support, indirect support through network loans, and accounts receivable secured loans that allow loans up to 100% of the contract amount. Also, starting this year, it has signed a job creation agreement with IBK Industrial Bank of Korea to support partner companies’ recruitment.
