Gokseong-gun Holds Midterm Report Meeting on 'Basic Job Plan Establishment'

Reflecting Regional Characteristics, Finding Customized Job Models

Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Lee Sang-cheol) announced that on the 11th, it held an interim report meeting for the ‘Gokseong-gun Basic Job Plan Establishment Research Service’ at the Daetongmaru of the county office.

This report meeting was promoted to create effective job opportunities based on the ‘Gokseong-gun Job Creation Support Ordinance’ implemented last year. The main goal of the meeting is to find a mid- to long-term customized job model reflecting regional characteristics and to establish a basic plan and implementation plan accordingly.

The service provider reported on the progress of the research conducted in stages so far.

Since March, a working committee (TF) was formed to set the research direction, and in May, interviews with job-related practitioners were conducted by visiting other local governments.

Also, starting from the kickoff report meeting in June, opinions from job officers in various departments within Gokseong-gun have been collected, and in-depth interviews with key stakeholders are continuously being conducted.

Going forward, through the Gokseong Job Policy Forum, opinions from experts in various fields will be heard and comprehensively analyzed.

Based on this, detailed plans will be prepared, and the final version of Gokseong-gun’s basic job plan will be decided.

The committee members who attended the report meeting said, “We hope to promote a substantial research service by seeking the future direction and orientation of Gokseong-gun jobs through focused comparison and analysis of the county’s current job status.”

A county official said, “We ask for the cooperation of related departments and agencies so that we can present a leading model until the final report meeting. By supplementing and reflecting the presented opinions, we will prepare detailed execution plans for each project and establish job policies that will drive regional economic development.”
