Gwangju Seobu Fire Station Conducts Firefighting Tactics Evaluation to Enhance On-Site Response Capability
Gwangju Seobu Fire Station announced on the 11th that it conducted the 2023 second half fire tactics training evaluation to enhance the capabilities of on-site personnel.
The tactics training evaluation is conducted twice a year, divided into the first and second halves, in accordance with the Fire Service Personnel Education and Training Regulations. This time, a specialized knowledge evaluation item was newly added to promote not only firefighters' on-site activity capabilities but also to provide a higher level of fire service through knowledge enhancement.
Among the evaluation items, the fire suppression field includes five events such as nozzle operation, water spraying techniques, and rope knots (equipment tying). The rescue field includes five events such as rope descent and climbing, and traffic accident life rescue (hydraulic equipment). The emergency medical field includes five events such as neurological examination (suspected stroke patients) and emergency treatment methods for trauma patients.

A fire official stated, "Through the fire tactics training evaluation, we will improve on-site response capabilities and supplement any deficiencies to become firefighters strong in disaster scenes."
