FSS Hosts Showcase and Seminar to Address Dark Web Threats
The Financial Supervisory Service (FSS) announced on the 10th that it will hold an event to respond to dark web threats.
As security threats originating from the dark web have recently become more tangible and sophisticated, the financial sector is increasingly recognizing the need to utilize digital new technologies for response. Accordingly, the FSS will hold a 'Tech Finder Showcase' event to introduce fintech companies with excellent technological capabilities to the financial sector.
The FSS plans to provide financial companies with opportunities to explore new technologies for responding to dark web threats and offer fintech companies a platform for collaboration with the financial sector.
Along with this event, a seminar titled "Establishing a Dark Web Threat Response System in the Financial Sector" will also be held. The seminar will present the results of a "Dark Web Threat Response Survey" conducted targeting major financial companies such as banks, insurance, and securities firms, and discuss dark web response measures utilizing Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI).
Applications for participation in the showcase and seminar will be accepted only from domestic fintech companies possessing original dark web monitoring technology, with about five companies to be selected. The application period is from the 11th to 5 p.m. on the 13th. After filling out the application form, applicants should submit it via email to the FSS. Seminar participation can be registered on-site without prior application.
An FSS official stated, "We plan to continuously discover and introduce fintech companies with innovative technologies and actively support the expansion of collaboration with financial companies."
