Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation, Career Interruption Prevention Practice Campaign Throughout September
The Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation is conducting a Career Interruption Prevention Commitment Campaign in September, designated as the "Career Interruption Prevention Month."
This campaign was organized to emphasize the necessity of preventing career interruptions among women and to raise awareness.
This year, the Foundation's Gyeonggi Northern Regional Saeil Center is leading the campaign, with participation from 24 companies employing female workers in northern Gyeonggi (in fields such as caregiving, food, medical, and service industries) and the Uijeongbu branch of the Ministry of Employment and Labor.
The 27 public-private collaborative organizations participating in this campaign have committed to three major actions for preventing career interruptions: ▲Creating a sustainable working environment ▲Promoting parental leave and caregiving leave ▲Ensuring a workplace culture free of discrimination and guaranteeing equal opportunities.
The Foundation's Gyeonggi Northern Regional Saeil Center is spreading awareness of career interruption prevention by distributing campaign promotional videos online through the Foundation's publicity channels and conducting various offline programs.
On the 13th, a program aimed at improving awareness of career interruption prevention will be held at the Dongducheon Lifelong Learning Center through the "City Job Fair."
Byun Seung-mu, Director of the Foundation's Gyeonggi Northern Regional Saeil Center, emphasized, "To prevent career interruptions, improving social awareness as well as institutional support is important. Our Gyeonggi Northern Regional Saeil Center will take the lead in creating a positive atmosphere through active promotion and communication so that companies, related organizations, and residents of Gyeonggi Province can take interest."
