GCCL Introduces Industry's First Global Laboratory Information Management System
First LIMS Implementation in Clinical Specimen Analysis Institutions Industry
GCCL, a clinical trial specimen analysis institution, announced on the 5th that it has introduced the industry's first Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
The newly introduced computerized system is 'Thermo Scientific Watson LIMS,' developed by Thermo Scientific. This system is used by global Contract Research Organizations (CROs) for analytical clinical trials, pharmaceutical companies, and regulatory agencies. GCCL explained that it is a system supporting all bioanalytical workflows required for approval, from analytical method validation necessary for pharmacokinetic analysis of synthetic and biopharmaceuticals to clinical trial specimen analysis and final report preparation.
GCCL plans to further strengthen its biopharmaceutical analysis services by additionally introducing the 'Immune Response Module,' which supports immunogenicity analysis workflows.
Yang Songhyun, CEO of GCCL, stated, "As a clinical trial specimen analysis institution, improving data accuracy is the most critical aspect," adding, "With the introduction of this Laboratory Information Management System, it will be possible to provide high-quality clinical trial specimen analysis services that meet global guidelines."

GCCL has currently completed server construction and plans to apply LIMS to pharmacokinetic analysis of synthetic and biopharmaceuticals and immunogenicity analysis of biopharmaceuticals starting from the first quarter of next year, following the Computer System Validation (CSV) process.
