Ulsan City has decided to operate a ‘Seafood Day.’ In effect, ‘Fukushima’ has changed the staff menu to revitalize the fishing village economy.
Ulsan City announced that starting from the 31st, it will operate ‘Seafood Day’ twice a week in the staff cafeteria, offering domestic seafood menus.
The operation of ‘Seafood Day’ in the staff cafeteria was prepared to revitalize the local fishing village economy and promote the consumption of domestic seafood.
On the first day, the 31st, the menu will feature seafood from the Ulsan coastal area, such as Jeongja flounder fry and Jeongja eel with seasoned grilled sauce.
On this day, more than 900 public officials, including Ulsan Mayor Kim Doo-gyeom, will have lunch together in the in-house cafeteria, contributing to the activation of domestic seafood consumption.

Mayor Kim Doo-gyeom of Ulsan said, “To promote seafood consumption, we plan to use as many seafood ingredients produced in the Ulsan coastal area and domestic coasts as possible. In particular, we will develop various seafood menus using Jeongja seaweed and Jeongja flounder and provide highly satisfactory meals to increase seafood consumption.”
