2023 Jeju International Marine Leisure Expo to be Held on September 1
Until the 3rd at ICC Jeju International Convention Center
Diverse content including exhibitions, experiential events, and forums
The 4th Jeju International Marine Leisure Expo will be held for three days starting September 1st at the Jeju International Convention Center under the main theme, "Sustainable Marine Innovation, New Hope Found in the Sea."

View original imageThis expo will kick off with a talk concert by singer 'Lee Jung' and feature conferences with domestic and international marine leisure industry stakeholders, as well as various exhibitions and experiential events showcasing the current status and future prospects of Jeju's marine leisure industry.
Co-hosted by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries and Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, and organized by the Jeju Marine Leisure Association, the event is expected to attract over 3,000 participants from 40 organizations, companies, and groups across six countries including the United States, Malaysia, and the Philippines.
In addition to expert panel discussions, exhibition and promotional halls will be operated to allow general visitors to experience and enjoy various marine leisure activities, with a diverse range of unique indoor and outdoor experiential events prepared.

In particular, visitors who explore and participate in experiences throughout the exhibition hall during the event period and collect six stamps will receive a small souvenir and be entered into a raffle for experience vouchers. The experience vouchers are raffled every two hours at the expo venue, and winners will receive discount experience vouchers (up to 80% off) for 13 marine leisure companies in Jeju, including surfing, yachting, fishing, and skin scuba diving.
On the first and second days, exhibitions and experiential events will run from 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM, and on the final day, the event will close at 4:00 PM.
The main schedule includes 'Session 1: Trends in Global Marine Sports Tourism' from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on the 1st, and 'Session 2: Development of Jeju Sports Tourism Content,' presented by Professor Kwon Woong of Jeju National University, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
'Session 3: Challenges and Prospects of the Newly Developed Jeju Baratgil' will take place from 10:00 AM on the 2nd, followed by a marine leisure fashion show starting at 1:00 PM. Outdoor experiential events will be held only on the 1st and 2nd.

Meanwhile, the Jeju International Marine Leisure Expo has been held annually in Jeju since 2020 to promote marine leisure tourism. The scale was reduced in 2020 and 2021 due to COVID-19, but last year it was held as a normal face-to-face event.
