View original imageAccording to the Consumer Agency, 13 consumer consultations regarding such issues were received on the International Trade Consumer Portal on the 10th alone. Reviewing the consultations, the most common issue was consumers realizing the products were not genuine after purchase and requesting cancellations or returns, but sellers did not respond.
Consumers mainly accessed these shopping sites after seeing advertisements on Facebook, Instagram, and other platforms. The Consumer Agency explained that the sites use Tiffany & Co.'s brand logo, signature colors, and product photos as is, making it highly likely for consumers to mistake them for the official website.
The Consumer Agency advised consumers to carefully verify whether the shopping site they intend to use is the brand's official sales site and a trustworthy seller to prevent damage. A representative from the Consumer Agency said, "If products are sold at prices significantly lower than the market price, there is a high possibility that they are counterfeit or fraudulent sales, so extra caution is necessary."
