Prosecutors Seek Arrest Warrant for Witness Who Provided 'Alibi' in Kim Yong Trial
The prosecution investigating allegations of perjury related to the trial of former Deputy Director Kim Yong of the Democratic Research Institute moved to secure the custody of the witness on the 29th.

According to the prosecution, Lee is accused of giving false testimony at the Seoul Central District Court on May 4th during the trial of former Deputy Director Kim, stating that "on May 3, 2021, from 3:00 PM to 4:50 PM, he met former Deputy Director Kim in the director's office of the Gyeonggi-do Market Promotion Agency in Suwon together with Shin Mo, Director of the Gyeonggi-do Energy Center." He is also accused of submitting a forged photo of a mobile phone calendar to the court to support his testimony.
