Gwangju Bank, Jeonnam International Sumuk Biennale Ticket Purchase Agreement Ceremony
Gwangju Bank announced on the 23rd that it held a ticket purchase agreement ceremony for the '2023 Jeonnam International Sumukh Biennale' at the Jeonnam Provincial Office.
Gwangju Bank expressed its intention to lead the revitalization of the local economy by purchasing tickets worth 30 million won and wished for the successful hosting of the event.
The Jeonnam International Sumukh Biennale will showcase the charm of various sumukh styles with the participation of over 190 artists from 19 countries. Under the theme "The Dyeing Mountain, The Stopped Water," it will be held from next month 1st to October 31st across Jeonnam, including Mokpo and Jindo.
Kim Young-rok, Governor of Jeollanam-do, stated, "We will do our best to prepare so that the biennale becomes a catalyst for regional economic development and offers inspiration to visitors."
Ko Byung-il, President of Gwangju Bank, emphasized, "As the representative bank of Jeonnam and Gwangju, we will continue various support activities, including ticket purchases, to ensure the successful hosting of the international biennale held in the region," adding, "We will do our best to fulfill corporate social responsibility."
Gwangju Bank has continuously supported the event for three consecutive times since the first International Sumukh Biennale in 2018, and has purchased tickets worth a total of 56 million won to date, demonstrating its love for the region.
