View original imageAccording to the Korea Meteorological Administration, in the afternoon, showers of 5 to 60 mm are expected in the metropolitan area, inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon, Sejong, and northern Chungcheong. Showers of 5 to 40 mm are expected in Daejeon, southern Chungcheong, Jeolla region, inland Gyeongbuk, northwestern inland Gyeongnam, and Jeju Island.
The morning low temperatures are forecast to be between 22 and 26 degrees Celsius, and the daytime highs between 28 and 34 degrees Celsius, with most regions nationwide continuing to experience hot weather.
As the heat persists, tropical nights are expected in urban areas, the west coast, the south coast, and Jeju Island for the time being.
Fine dust levels will be 'Good' to 'Moderate' nationwide due to smooth atmospheric dispersion. There may be gusts of wind along with thunder and lightning over the West Sea, so caution is advised for maritime safety.
Sea waves will be 0.5 to 1.0 meters in the East Sea and South Sea coastal waters, and 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the West Sea coastal waters.
