Connecting Seongnae 3 District Cultural Park and Cheonho-dong Rodeo Street... Maximizing Convenience for Residents
Existing Cheonho Underground Walkway Facilities Also Improved... Expected to Create a Pleasant Environment and Revitalize Local Commercial Areas
Gangdong-gu (Mayor Lee Soo-hee) announced on the 17th that construction has begun on an underground public walkway connecting the cultural park within the Seongnae 3 Redevelopment Promotion Zone and Cheonho-dong Rodeo Street.
This project links the existing Cheonho-dong and Seongnae-dong areas through the Seongnae 3 District urban maintenance-type redevelopment project, including the creation of a cultural park and underground public walkway facilities, as well as improvements to the existing Cheonho underground pedestrian passage.
The cultural park within the Seongnae 3 Redevelopment Promotion Zone is planned to be developed as a new type of sunken-style lattice cultural park. The existing Cheonho Rodeo Street will also be transformed into a pedestrian-centered, pleasant, and vibrant street through road maintenance. The Seongnae 3 District underground public walkway will serve as a bridge connecting the cultural park (Seongnae-dong) and Rodeo Street (Cheonho-dong), providing residents with convenient mobility and is expected to contribute to the revitalization of local commercial areas such as Cheonho-dong Rodeo Street and Seongnae-dong Jjukkumi Alley.
In particular, citizens using the Cheonho Station underground public parking lot will find it more convenient to use the underground public walkway.
