'Festival of Dream Trees'... Lotte Department Store, Kids Orchestra Concert
7:30 PM on the 16th at Lotte Concert Hall
Lotte Department Store announced on the 15th that the first generation of the Kids Orchestra, composed of budding classical musicians, will present a classical performance at the Lotte Concert Hall.
The Kids Orchestra is an organization founded by Lotte Department Store to allow talented young musicians to experience orchestras at an early age and to hone their skills under the guidance of world-class performers. The first generation members were selected through a competitive process with a ratio of 12 to 1 last May, consisting of seven classical music prodigies ranging from 2nd grade elementary to 2nd grade middle school students.

At the upcoming 'RE:JOICE' concert, the Kids Orchestra members will showcase the skills they have developed while inviting beneficiaries of the free psychological counseling program for low-income groups, called the 'Mind Care Program,' to share the classical performance together. All proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the 'Hope Friends Kia Support.' The concert will be held on the 16th at 7:30 PM at the Lotte Concert Hall.
To prepare for the concert, the Lotte Department Store Kids Orchestra members have been rehearsing at venues such as the Lotte Culture Hall within Lotte Department Store, based on advice from Lee Sung-joo, director of the Korea Arts Gifted Education Center. Conductor Lee Min-hyung, who received the Royal Robert Conductor Award in Scotland and served as assistant conductor of the Busan Philharmonic Orchestra, along with professional faculty members, have been guiding them. In particular, the clarinet and violin sections participated in master classes led by Andreas Ottensamer, principal clarinetist of the Berlin Philharmonic and world-renowned clarinetist, and violinist Ray Chen.
