O Do-chang, Governor of Yeongyang County, Visits Typhoon 'Khanun' Flood Recovery Sites

View original imageOn that day, O Do-chang, the governor of Yeongyang-gun, visited sites in Seokbo-myeon, Yeongyang-gun, where roads were washed away due to heavy rains from Typhoon "Khanun," removing obstacles caused by flooding and focusing on road restoration and emergency response.
He also visited vulnerable areas to heavy rain within the jurisdiction to check on the damage situation of nearby residents, inspected the pre-control status of riverside footbridges and flood-prone areas, and directly visited key facilities to monitor the typhoon response situation. He ordered thorough real-time monitoring of the site conditions until the typhoon completely passes to ensure strict response to any damage.
Yeongyang-gun has already established a Disaster Safety Countermeasures Headquarters and set up a preemptive response system with related organizations such as fire and police departments. On the 9th at 8 p.m., an evacuation order was issued for areas at risk of human casualties (flooding and landslides) within the jurisdiction, evacuating 315 residents from 253 households across 40 locations.
