Prosecution of Daughter Jomin... Joo Guk Says, "Rather Take Me to Namyeong-dong and Torture Me"
Cho Kuk (58), former Minister of Justice, posted on Facebook on the 10th, saying, "I would rather be taken to Namsan or Namyeong-dong and tortured like in the old days."
On the same day, the prosecution indicted Cho's daughter, Cho Min, and it appears that Cho Kuk expressed his feelings about this. Cho Kuk has repeatedly stated that the allegations of his daughter's admission fraud are due to "parental negligence."
Choi Kang-wook, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, quoted Cho Kuk's post on his Facebook, describing it as "a pain that feels like the intestines are being cut."
The Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office Trial Division 5 (Chief Prosecutor Kim Min-ah) announced that Cho Min was indicted without detention on charges of falsifying official documents, obstruction of business, and obstruction of public officials by deception.

Cho Min is accused of submitting falsified documents to Seoul National University Medical School (SNU Med) around June 2013, passing the document screening, and obstructing the admission review process of SNU Med evaluation committee members through deception.
The prosecution believes that Cho Min falsified or forged documents such as her personal statement, an internship certificate issued by the head of the Public Interest and Human Rights Law Center at Seoul National University Law School, and a certificate of commendation from Dongyang University’s president.
It is known that Cho Min denied some of the charges during the prosecution's investigation on the 14th of last month.
Shortly after the indictment, Cho Min posted on her Instagram, "I heard the news of the prosecution's indictment through the news. I will attend the trial sincerely," and added, "If there are parts I am responsible for, I will humbly take responsibility."
