Public Procurement Service Selects 9 Winners for 'Public Procurement Regulation Discovery Contest'
The Public Procurement Service announced on the 9th that it selected the winners of the 'Public Institution On-site Regulatory Difficulty Discovery Contest' and held an awards ceremony.
A total of 135 regulatory improvement proposals were submitted to the contest. The Public Procurement Service reviewed the submissions and selected a total of 9 winners (7 from the public contest and 2 from the internal employee contest) as the final awardees.
The winners will receive prize money totaling approximately 4 million KRW and a commendation from the Administrator of the Public Procurement Service. Additionally, internal employees listed among the winners will be granted up to 3 days of special leave.
Through the contest, the Public Procurement Service also identified 40 regulatory innovation tasks aimed at revitalizing the procurement market, including rationalizing bidding procedures, enhancing corporate convenience, and improving systems.
The Public Procurement Service explained that the identified tasks will be applied to on-site regulatory innovation after monitoring their implementation status.

Kim Yunsang, Administrator of the Public Procurement Service, stated, “Based on the proposals received through the contest, we will fundamentally review the habitual regulations in the procurement field from the ground up and strive to solve problems with fundamental measures rather than one-time fixes.”
