Gyeonggi Office of Education Holds 'Workshop to Strengthen Collaborative Projects' with Education Officers from 31 Cities and Counties
The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education is organizing a workshop to enhance understanding of education cooperation projects with local basic governments within the province.
On the 9th, the Office of Education announced that on the 10th, it will hold the "Office of Education-Basic Local Government Cooperation Project Workshop" at the Suwon Southern Government Complex, attended by about 100 education cooperation officials from city and county offices.
This workshop, held for the first time in four years since 2019, will discuss ▲ understanding of cooperation projects for improving school environments with basic local governments ▲ sharing regional issues such as the transfer to the special education account following the revision of the Local Education Finance Grant Act ▲ and measures to simplify settlement documents in consultation with local governments.
Jung Eun-ji, Head of the Cooperation Support Division at the Office of Education, emphasized, "We hope to establish an organic cooperation system with local governments and continuously expand the budget to improve the educational environment of schools," adding, "There needs to be a change in perception that education cooperation projects are not just support methods between institutions but joint responses that increase satisfaction with residents' educational demands."
