Daejeon City Designates 3 New Private Gardens in Urban Areas
Daejeon City has newly designated three private gardens as Daejeon City private gardens. Private gardens are one of the types of gardens under the "Act on the Creation and Promotion of Arboretums and Gardens," referring to gardens created and operated by corporations, organizations, or individuals.
Daejeon City announced on the 7th that following the designation of private gardens No. 1 and 2 last year, it has additionally designated Nos. 3 (Jung-gu), 4 (Seo-gu), and 5 (Yuseong-gu) this year.

View original imageThe No. 3 private garden is "Walden," located in Mokdong, Jung-gu. This garden harmonizes various sculptures and herbaceous plants against the backdrop of European-style architecture.
The No. 4 private garden, "Gonghyuil," is located in Naedong, Seo-gu, where terraces and lighting blend stylishly with garden plants, enabling relaxation within the city.
The No. 5 private garden, "Geugose," located in Gap-dong, Yuseong-gu, features a greenhouse with rare plants and a wide area planted with seasonal trees and shrubs.
All these private gardens are open to the public, allowing citizens to share the garden layout, convenience facilities, and the gardening process.
Daejeon City plans to continue filling the "100 Hidden Gardens of Daejeon" to spread garden culture led by citizens.
