Gyeongsan Police Station Arrests and Investigates Suspect Within 5 Hours of Report
A man in his 20s who posted a message on an online anonymous board predicting a "knife attack on a university campus" was apprehended.
The Gyeongsangbuk-do Gyeongsan Police Station announced on the 5th that they arrested and are investigating Mr. A on the 4th for posting a "knife attack prediction at a certain university" message.
According to the police, Mr. A is accused of threatening an unspecified number of people by posting the message "Predicting a knife attack at a certain university. Everyone, bring it on" on an online anonymous board at a study cafe around 2:38 PM on the 4th.
The police received a 112 report stating "a murder prediction post was uploaded," and immediately traced the route, arresting Mr. A near a study cafe in Daegu City, his registered address, about five hours after the report.
