World No. 2 Ko Jin-young withdrew from her comeback event on the Korean Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour.
Ko Jin-young gave up during the second round of the Jeju Samdasoo Masters (total prize money 1 billion KRW) held on the 4th at Blackstone Golf Club in Jeju City, Jeju Island (par 72, 6,626 yards) due to left shoulder stiffness. Ko Jin-young returned to the domestic stage for the first time in about 1 year and 10 months since the BMW Ladies Championship on the LPGA Tour held in Busan in October 2021.
Ko Jin-young is contemplating her approach to the green on the 11th hole during the second round of the Jeju Samdasoo Masters.

According to her management company, SEMASports Marketing, Ko Jin-young had a restless night and experienced dizziness and nausea from the morning of the day. A SEMASports Marketing official said, "Ko Jin-young endured the feeling of the green shaking, but when the stiffness came, she had to withdraw," adding, "She was very determined to continue."

Ko Jin-young had just come straight to Korea after finishing the LPGA Tour major, the Amundi Evian Championship, held last week in ?vian-les-Bains, France, and suffered from a decline in condition due to jet lag and weather issues. After a short rest, Ko Jin-young will move to the UK to participate in the final major of the LPGA Tour season, the AIG Women's Open, starting on the 10th (local time).
