Korea GM Sells 40,705 Units in July... 56.2% Increase YoY
Trax and Trailblazer Take 1st and 2nd Place in June Exports
Korea GM sold 40,705 units in July, marking a 56.2% increase compared to the same period last year. This marks the 13th consecutive month of year-over-year growth.
Overseas sales recorded 36,562 units, a 66.6% increase compared to the same period last year. This is the 16th consecutive month of year-over-year growth. The Chevrolet Trax crossover (including the Buick Envista) sold 22,322 units in July alone. The Trailblazer sold 14,240 units. This vehicle had previously achieved the number one spot in domestic automobile exports for four consecutive months as of May. In the first half of this year, 123,160 units were sold overseas, securing the top cumulative ranking. Both vehicles sold over 20,000 units each in overseas markets in June, ranking first and second in domestic passenger car exports, respectively.
Domestic sales reached 4,143 units, a 0.6% increase compared to the same period last year. The Trax was the best-selling model with 2,807 units sold. The partially redesigned Trailblazer sold 694 units. Sales of the electric vehicles Bolt EV and Bolt EUV increased by 44.1% and 52.7%, respectively, compared to the same period last year.
