Ministry of Education Provides Opportunities for Communication and Empathy at 'Yesul Gonggamteo Ieum'
Creative artistic expression activities by students and art teachers in Jeonbuk Province are being exhibited at the Ministry of Education building.
On the 31st, the Jeollabuk-do Office of Education (Superintendent Seo Geo-seok) announced that a creative and innovative art exhibition featuring students and art teachers from the province will be held at the 'Art Empathy Space Ieum' inside the Ministry of Education building.
The Jeollabuk-do Office of Education is holding an exhibition of creative and innovative artworks by students and art teachers from the province at the 'Art Sympathy Space Ieum' inside the Ministry of Education building until November. The featured work is "The Squirrel in a Strange World" by Lee Myung-woo (1st grade, Gunsan Daeseong Middle School). The squirrel's food, acorns, has been replaced with a smartphone. The forest and sky are depicted using a smartphone and its wallpaper. The artwork critiques the serious issues of smartphone addiction and environmental destruction caused by indiscriminate use.

The exhibited works include a total of 33 pieces: 18 student works awarded at the '17th Blue Dream Clear Thought Expression Exhibition' hosted by the Jeonbuk Office of Education, and 15 works by art teachers. The exhibition will be displayed in the hallway gallery of the Ministry of Education's Art Empathy Space until November.
'Art Empathy Space Ieum' is a space where the educational community, including students and teachers, collectively participate in exhibiting artworks to communicate and empathize with the educational field through art. Students express their dreams through various artistic activities, while the Office of Education and the Ministry of Education provide opportunities to engage with students' imaginations through art, fostering deeper empathy and communication within the educational environment.
Through this exhibition, the Office of Education aims for students to grow into future talents with artistic sensitivity and harmonious character, while art teachers incorporate artistic expertise and educational value into their creative activities within the educational field.
Lee Ju-ho, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, said, "I am grateful to the students and teachers of the Jeonbuk Office of Education who helped create this meaningful exhibition space with their precious works," adding, "The Ministry of Education will also strive to help students grow into future talents who actively lead their lives by nurturing their talents and aptitudes."
