Busan Port Truck Drivers' Exclusive Mobile App 'AllCon-e' Surpasses 5,000 Subscribers
Busan Port Authority (BPA) announced that the number of subscribers to the truck driver-exclusive mobile app ‘AllCon e,’ introduced in June last year, surpassed 5,000 on the 26th.
‘AllCon e’ is an app developed by BPA as part of the port logistics integrated platform (Chain Portal) project to reduce waiting times for truck drivers using Busan Port container terminals and to enhance terminal productivity and operational efficiency.
The app provides truck drivers with real-time port-related information and various functions necessary for container transportation via mobile devices.
At the time of its introduction in 2022, the number of ‘AllCon e’ subscribers was around 1,000, but it rapidly increased from the end of last year, surpassing 5,000 in July. This figure approaches about 30% of the 17,324 container transport trucks using Busan Port container terminals (as of 2022).
Recently, BPA has made efforts to enhance user convenience by expanding subscriber numbers through ▲on-site promotions ▲participation events ▲production and distribution of usage tutorial videos ▲linking real-time information across all Busan Port terminals (10 companies) ▲adding features to check real-time traffic conditions around the port and terminal congestion levels.
Going forward, BPA plans to strengthen various promotional activities to encourage autonomous participation by truck drivers and to improve convenience and efficiency for port users by providing additional necessary information and functions.
Additionally, BPA is conducting the second phase of a three-month pilot operation of the Transshipment Transport System (TSS) starting from July this year. The pilot project involves five terminal companies and six transport companies, verifying various effects, and it is expected that the number of ‘AllCon e’ subscribers and usage rates will increase further.
BPA is also promoting the development of a ‘Safety Enhancement Mobile Platform’ (tentative name), which includes functions such as ▲integration of mobile apps from all Busan Port terminal operators ▲digitization of paper delivery receipts ▲real-time transmission of terminal work status.
This platform will be implemented by adding functions to the existing ‘AllCon e’ system and is scheduled to be applied on-site starting in October.
Kang Jun-seok, President of BPA, stated, “As the number of ‘AllCon e’ subscribers continues to increase, we will provide higher quality data and services so that all container truck drivers using Busan Port can use it safely and effectively in the future.”
