"Future Gas Stations Will Provide Electricity" Kim Jun, SK Innovation Vice Chairman, Talks with New Employees
Conversation with New Employees Joined This Month and 'Omniscient CEO Perspective'
"We Will Continue to Support New Employees' Organizational Adaptation and Competency Enhancement"
SK Innovation announced on the 26th that it held a 'Conversation with the CEO' event at the SK Seorin Building in Jongno-gu, Seoul, attended by about 50 new employees who joined the company in July this year.
Kim Joon, Vice Chairman of SK Innovation, emphasized that the key players in creating future energy are the new employees. Vice Chairman Kim said, "Future gas stations will provide electricity instead of petroleum," adding, "They will transform into the concept of power plants, and SK Innovation will provide the driving force that moves the world in line with these changes of the era." He also urged, "Since there are no definite answers in the future, it is important to gain experience by facing untried challenges without fear."
Regarding concerns and anxieties about careers, he advised, "You should believe in your own potential for the future and not be impatient. If you build global capabilities, the ability to analyze data, and a basic understanding of finance, and make efforts to deeply understand any task you undertake, you will be confident in whatever choices you make in the future."

SK Innovation operates a systematic program to help new employees adapt to the company. The company designates the first two years after joining as a focused support period and provides various processes such as introductory training, a 100-day celebration event, and the in-house counseling center called Harmonia Group Counseling to assist new employees in adapting to the organization and improving their work capabilities.
The Group Counseling, held at the six-month mark after joining, is a counseling program designed to prevent psychological difficulties that may be experienced during the early adaptation process. This year as well, since the 4th of this month, Harmonia psychological counselors from Seoul, Daejeon, Ulsan, and other regions have been conducting small group counseling sessions in person. If new employees still have concerns or need counseling after the group sessions, they can receive individual counseling at Harmonia centers in each region.
An SK Innovation official said, "Every year, we identify the needs of new members and develop and operate programs that help them adapt to the organization and enhance their work capabilities," adding, "We will continue to provide various opportunities so that new employees feel they are growing into experts from the moment they join SK Innovation."
