The fourth major of the 2023 season on the U.S. Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) Tour, the Amundi Evian Championship (total prize money $6.5 million), opens on the 27th (local time) at the Evian Resort Golf Club (par 71, 6,527 yards) in Evian-les-Bains, France. The battleground is located on a hill overlooking Lake Geneva in the Alps. Being in a mountainous area, the fairways are narrow and the undulations severe. It closely resembles Korean golf courses. This is why Korean players achieve good results every year.
World No. 1 Ko Jin-young is kissing the trophy immediately after winning the 2019 Amundi Evian Championship.
