‘Twin golfers’ Kim Saeromi tasted the joy of her first career victory.
On the 25th, Kim Saeromi scored 4-under-par with six birdies and one double bogey in the final second round of the KLPGA 2023 3H Dream (2nd division) Tour with Aegis Sky CC (total prize money 70 million KRW) held at Aegis Sky CC in Gunwi-gun, Gyeongbuk (par 71, 6,337 yards). She tied with Moon Jungmin at 10-under-par 132 strokes, then secured the winning par on the second hole of the resumed playoff at the 18th hole (par 3). This was her first time reaching the top since joining the KLPGA as a full member in July 2017, earning a winner’s prize of 10.5 million KRW. She currently ranks 10th in the Dream Tour money rankings with 17.08 million KRW.

Kim Saeromi exclaimed, "I am really happy. I was able to play easily without any tee shot mistakes," adding, "My putting also followed well, allowing me to win." She continued, "After a double bogey on the 16th hole (par 3), I thought the victory was out of reach, but winning like this still doesn’t feel real," and said, "I doubted whether I could actually win, but this victory will give me a lot of confidence going forward."
Kim Saeromi has drawn much attention as she has played on tour alongside her twin older sister Kim Aromi, who joined as a full member in August of the same year. She achieved two runner-up finishes in the 2021 regular tour season but did not record notable results last season. She ranked 49th in the KLPGA 2023 regular tour seed ranking event last winter, so this year she is competing in both the Dream Tour and the regular tour. Kim Saeromi said, "Although I am playing both the regular and Dream Tours, I do not have any physical difficulties," and expressed her ambition, "I want to achieve good results and earn a regular tour seed."
