A total of 274 individuals have received the award up to last year.
The selection criteria include ▲contributions to industry development such as pioneering new advertising fields and workforce training ▲contributions to fostering advertising culture such as establishing a foundation for advertising culture and improving public life ▲contributions to strengthening national competitiveness such as economic development and exploring overseas markets.
This year, a total of 16 individuals who have contributed to the development of the advertising industry and the promotion of culture will be selected. Eight recipients will receive government awards such as industrial medals, commendations, and the Presidential Citation, while eight will receive the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Citation and other awards.
The award candidates include those working in the advertising industry, academia, and organizations. Nominations can be made by advertising-related institutions, organizations, or any member of the public. Nomination letters can be submitted via registered mail (to the Ministry’s Broadcasting and Video Advertising Division) or email.
The winners will be finally decided through evaluations by a private expert judging panel in the advertising field, the Ministry’s official judging committee, qualification verification by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, and public verification. The awards ceremony will be held at the '2023 Korea Advertising Festival' scheduled for December 5.
