Through this agreement, Interpark Triple plans to participate in Delta Air Lines' Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) investment program and join efforts to promote the use and development of SAF.
SAF is a liquid hydrocarbon fuel produced using renewable resources such as waste wood or corn residues. It can be transported through existing infrastructure to airports and can be blended with jet fuel at ratios of up to 50%. Notably, it can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 85% compared to conventional aviation fuel, making it a promising alternative for reducing greenhouse gases in the global aviation industry.
Jeff Mumaw, Vice President of Delta Air Lines Asia Pacific, said, "Collaboration across all industries is essential for the future of sustainable air travel," adding, "This partnership with Interpark Triple will help make sustainable fuels more accessible and easier to use."
