Ioniq 5N Unveiling Event at Goodwood Festival, UK on the 13th (Local Time)
Chung Euisun, Chairman of Hyundai Motor Group, introduced the high-performance electric vehicle Ioniq 5 N, unveiled at the Goodwood Festival in the UK on the 13th (local time), as "a car that is fun to drive."
On that day, Chairman Chung shared this impression with reporters at the Ioniq 5 N's first unveiling event. Having driven the Ioniq 5 N himself, he said, "Someday, everyone will understand once they drive it themselves," adding, "(This car) is a car you have to drive yourself to understand; riding alongside is meaningless."
Regarding his feelings about unveiling the Ioniq 5 N for the first time, he mentioned, "All the teams, including Advisor Albert Biermann, put in a lot of effort and worked with fun to create this car, so it feels even better," and added, "The pride of the researchers is tremendous, which makes me feel even better."

View original imageThe event was also attended by Hyundai Motor President Jang Jaehoon, Park Junwoo, Executive Director of Hyundai Motor N Brand Management Office, and Till Vattenberg, Executive Director of Hyundai Motor N Brand & Motorsports Division.
President Jang said, "Since we introduced a large number of new technologies, there were many difficult challenges, but I believe that having a spirit of challenge and solving them one by one is the DNA Hyundai Motor must have," adding, "Entering the high-performance segment with electric vehicle N has become a unique turning point."
He continued, "Introducing high-performance electric vehicles after showcasing high-performance internal combustion engine cars means that we will leap forward with our own advantages and differentiated aspects in the upcoming electric vehicle era."
Executive Director Park explained the value of the Ioniq 5 N within the N brand. He said, "Of course, the profitability of the Ioniq 5 N is important, but the first goal is really to let car enthusiasts enjoy it," adding, "We will prepare an opportunity in September for people to see what capabilities the Ioniq 5 N has."
The Ioniq 5 N, unveiled worldwide for the first time that day, is the N brand's first high-performance electric vehicle, integrating Hyundai Motor's advanced electrification technology.
