Jamsugyo Bridge and Naebusunhwan-ro Still Closed... Dongbu Expressway Reopens
Due to heavy rain concentrated in the metropolitan area, major roads in Seoul are being closed, causing significant inconvenience for the morning commute.
According to Seoul City on the 14th, the city announced that vehicle traffic on Dongbu Expressway will resume from 6:40 AM that day.
Earlier, as the water level of Jungnangcheon rose, traffic on the entire section of Dongbu Expressway (Surak Underpass to Seongsu JC) was restricted from 4:10 AM that day.
However, other areas remain closed. From 4:50 AM, vehicle traffic in both directions on Jamsugyo Bridge was completely restricted. This measure was taken due to increased discharge from Paldang Dam caused by the heavy rain.
Traffic on the ramp entering Sagun of the Inner Circular Road and from Majang Ramp to Seongdong JC was also restricted.
Among city roads, both directions of Bulgwangcheon-gil under Jeungsangyo Bridge and Yangjaecheon-ro under Yeongdong 1 Bridge and Yangjaecheon Bridge were closed. On Seobu Expressway, traffic toward Anyang on the Cheolsan Bridge underpass is also restricted.
In addition, control measures are being implemented on all 27 rivers within Seoul, including Cheonggyecheon.
