Contest for Reviews on Participation in the 'Child Dental Primary Care Pilot Project' Held
The Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea Health Promotion Institute announced on the 12th that they will hold the 'Children's Dental Primary Care Pilot Project Participation Review Contest.'
Anyone who has experience participating in the pilot project in the Gwangju and Sejong areas, where the Children's Dental Primary Care Pilot Project is underway, including children, parents, and dental clinics, can participate. The contest is divided into three categories: ▲Writing (prose within 1,500 characters) ▲Drawing (comics/webtoons within 10 panels) ▲Video (short films, advertisements, animations), and submissions are accepted until the 13th of next month.
The winning entries will be announced on the 23rd of next month after evaluation. A total of 21 winners will receive awards including the Minister of Health and Welfare Award (Grand Prize) and the Korea Health Promotion Institute Director's Awards (Excellence and Merit Awards), along with a cash prize.
Lee Ji-eun, Director of the Oral Policy Division at the Ministry of Health and Welfare, said, "Through this contest, we will listen to the vivid voices of children, parents, and dental clinics participating in the project and strive to improve the services. We will continue to spread oral care culture through various educational and promotional content."

Yoon Geon-ho, Acting Director of the Korea Health Promotion Institute, stated, "Oral care prevention costs are much lower than treatment costs and are effective in reducing overall medical expenses. We will consider the perspective of children and promote the project so that children can actively participate."
