At this meeting, a platform for communication was created to listen to the difficulties faced by civil complaint officers handling frontline public service tasks and to share opinions on major civil complaint issues.
On this day, Mayor Lee Seung-ro of Seongbuk-gu changed into a fresh work uniform and communicated with the civil complaint officers in one heart. He also encouraged the frontline staff who brought the honor of being the top institution in the ‘2022 Comprehensive Evaluation of Civil Service’ to Seongbuk-gu Office.
Participants in the meeting shared cases of civil complaint issues and freely exchanged suggestions and opinions for improvement. In particular, Mayor Lee listened to the difficulties of MZ generation civil servants and generously offered advice and encouragement to the staff based on his long public service experience.
Mayor Lee Seung-ro of Seongbuk-gu said, “As residents’ expectations for civil service are gradually increasing and their demands are becoming more diverse, there are many difficulties in handling civil complaints,” adding, “However, communication with civil petitioners must be based on understanding through listening and empathy.” He also stated, “We will make multifaceted efforts, such as providing safety devices like portable protection equipment to ensure a safe working environment for civil service window staff.”
