Gyeonggi Office of Education Hosts 'Career Mentoring' in 7 Regions of the Province

View original imageThe Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education is partnering with local governments in the province to conduct career mentoring.
The Office of Education announced on the 29th that, by November, it will carry out a career mentoring project providing career exploration opportunities for students from vulnerable groups through collaboration between local governments and schools, centered around career experience support centers in seven regions: Goyang, Guri, Ansan, Anyang, Yangpyeong, Paju, and Hwaseong.
During this period, the Office of Education will promote initiatives tailored to each region's characteristics, including ▲training mentors with professional career guidance skills ▲connecting mentors and mentees one-on-one ▲operating career mentoring once a week ▲and managing the quality of operations.
To particularly activate this project, the Office of Education will conduct activities such as sharing best practices in career mentoring, building cooperative networks and enhancing capabilities, and holding workshops to improve awareness of career mentoring for career experience support center staff and education support office supervisors.

Kim Seon-gyeong, Director of the Career and Vocational Education Division at the Office of Education, stated, "We will strive to expand the areas where career mentoring is operated through close cooperation with career experience support centers," adding, "We will carefully ensure that no student in the province is excluded from career education and actively support them to find their own future career paths."
