Seoul Institute of the Arts to Host '2023 Digital Art Festival' Starting from the 30th
Students majoring in Digital Art at Seoul Institute of the Arts will present the ‘2023 Digital Art Festival,’ which fuses various scientific technologies with art, over three days starting from the 30th at the Arts Engineering Center of Seoul Institute of the Arts.
The Seoul Institute of the Arts Digital Art Festival showcases diverse and innovative artworks every year. This year’s 2023 Digital Art Festival, titled ‘MULTI-PAIRING,’ will exhibit 25 works across multiple genres such as games, mapping, animation, media performances, and installations, featuring new human and non-human entities emerging through various relationships.
‘Multi-pairing’ refers to the interconnected process where two or more entities operate in linkage, and it is the theme of this year’s exhibition. Like this ‘multi-pairing,’ the exhibition aims to multi-pair the exhibition with the artists, the artists with the audience, and the audience with the exhibition, providing visitors with an opportunity to sense a type of ‘pairing’ they have never experienced before and to explore new roles and subjectivities.
A representative from Seoul Institute of the Arts stated, “We expect students interested in digital art and professionals working in related fields to visit the exhibition, where various works and diverse people will experience ‘relationships with humans’ through the digital art exhibition.”
