First Visit Since the 2021 Virtual Friendship Agreement
Expecting Stronger Sharing and Cooperation Ahead
Gangnam-gu (District Mayor Jo Seong-myeong) strengthened harmony and cooperation between the two cities by welcoming a delegation from its sister city, Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA.
The 15-member delegation, including Mayor Rosalynn Bliss, met with Gangnam-gu Mayor Jo Seong-myeong at 11 a.m. on the 23rd to exchange opinions on exchange and cooperation plans in various fields such as economy, tourism, medical innovation, and culture and arts.
Afterwards, the delegation is scheduled to tour Gangnam's cultural and tourism infrastructure, including the Gangnam Medical Tour Center, Samsung Sunrise Park, and Bongeunsa Temple.

Mayor Jo said, "Since Gangnam-gu and Grand Rapids signed a sister city agreement via video conference in 2021, we have continued various collaborations," adding, "I hope today will be an opportunity to deepen our relationship even further."
