Yoon Seokdae Appointed President of Korea Water Resources Corporation ... Lee Hakjae, Former Lawmaker, Named President of Incheon International Airport Corporation
Yoon Seok-dae will be inaugurated as the new president of Korea Water Resources Corporation on the 19th. His term will last for three years, until June 18, 2026.
President Yoon, a former student council president at Chungnam National University, has served as chairman of Daejeon Arts High School, an administrative officer in the 17th presidential office of political affairs, executive director of Koscom when it was a public institution, and CEO of a private IT company. Through his long political career, he has also been the chairman of the Bareunmirae Party Daejeon City Branch, secretary-general of the New Conservative Party, and a policy committee member in the secretariat of President Yoon Seok-yeol’s campaign.
President Yoon is particularly recognized for his outstanding organizational management skills gained through various experiences. Based on his diverse experience and expertise accumulated in the public sector, private sector, and politics, as well as his network and deep understanding of the Yoon Seok-yeol administration’s national governance philosophy, he is expected to address the current issues of Korea Water Resources Corporation’s water, energy, and smart city construction projects from the perspective of the public.
On the same day, former National Assembly member Lee Hak-jae will be inaugurated as the 10th president of Incheon International Airport Corporation. President Lee served as the mayor of Seo-gu, Incheon from 2002 to 2007 and was a member of the National Assembly representing Incheon from the 18th to the 20th sessions between 2008 and 2020. Last year, he ran as the People Power Party candidate for mayor of Incheon but lost in the party primary to the current mayor, Yoo Jeong-bok. Although there was speculation about his possible candidacy in the general election next April, he chose the position of president of Incheon International Airport Corporation.

Six candidates applied for the president position this time. On the afternoon of the 14th, the corporation held a shareholders’ meeting and discussed four candidates who passed the personnel screening by the corporation’s executive recommendation committee and the Ministry of Economy and Finance’s public institution management committee, ultimately recommending President Lee as the final candidate.
