Choi Min-jung, the second daughter of Choi Tae-won, chairman of SK Group, is reported to be volunteering at a U.S. non-governmental organization (NGO) after submitting a leave of absence to SK Hynix.

View original imageAccording to industry sources on the 16th, Choi recently resides in San Francisco, USA, and is volunteering to provide free education to underprivileged youth through a nonprofit organization called "SMART." Established in 2018, "SMART" runs programs that connect volunteers with underprivileged middle and high school students. It is reported that Choi has been volunteering once a week for six months, teaching English.
Meanwhile, Choi is also serving as a business strategy advisor for the telemedicine startup "Done." Located in San Francisco, "Done" is a startup that remotely diagnoses Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and provides customized treatment and counseling services.
Choi has been offering pro bono advisory services since the early days of the company's establishment after learning about it through an acquaintance in 2020.

Meanwhile, after graduating from the Business Administration Department at Peking University in China, Choi voluntarily enlisted in the navy in 2014 and served in the Cheonghae Unit and the West Sea 2nd Fleet. After being discharged as a navy lieutenant, she joined a China-based investment firm in 2018, where she worked on global mergers and acquisitions (M&A).

Later, in 2019, Choi joined SK Hynix as an assistant manager in the "INTRA" organization under the External Cooperation Division in Washington DC, USA. Last year, she transferred to the strategy team of SK Hynix's U.S. subsidiary in California, where she was responsible for M&A and investment-related tasks.
