109 Awarded Including EcoValley CEO on 'Construction Day'
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and the Korea Federation of Construction Associations will hold the 2023 Construction Day ceremony at 3 p.m. on the 15th at the Seoul Construction Hall under the theme "The Future Dreamed by Korean Construction, Safe Citizens! Happy Tomorrow!"
The event will be attended by about 700 people, including Prime Minister Han Duck-soo, Eo Myung-so, 2nd Vice Minister of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, Kim Min-ki, Chairman of the Land, Infrastructure and Transport Committee, Kim Jeong-jae, Secretary of the Land, Infrastructure and Transport Committee, and 10 other members of the National Assembly; Kim Sang-soo, Chairman of the Korea Federation of Construction Associations; Yoon Hak-soo, Chairman of the Korea Specialty Contractors Association, and 14 other heads of related organizations; construction company representatives including Jung Won-joo, Chairman of Daewoo Construction; award recipients and related personnel.
Meanwhile, 109 meritorious individuals, including Lee Jae-heung, CEO of Ecovelly, who have made significant contributions to the development of the construction industry, will be awarded honors such as the Gold Tower Industrial Medal, Industrial Medal, Presidential Citation, Prime Minister Citation, and Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Citation (87 recipients).

Kim Sang-moon, Director of the Construction Policy Bureau at the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, stated, "The government plans to develop the construction industry into a future innovation industry by digitalizing the entire construction process by 2030, establishing a response system to the climate crisis and low-carbon economy, and fostering a fair and safe construction culture through the 'establishment of legal order at construction sites.'"
